Religious objects kept into upper reliquary, golden umbrella hoisted atop Myodaw Hteikpan Mingala Pagoda in Pyinmana of Nay Pyi Taw with Maha consecration

A ceremony to enshrine religious objects into the upper reliquary and hoist a golden umbrella atop Myodaw Hteikpan Mingala Pagoda took place in conjunction with the conse cration in the precinct of Pali Tekkatho Mingala Zeyon Monastery in Pyinmana of Nay Pyi Taw this morning, graced by the presence of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area Ovadacariya Wegyi Buddhist Learning Centre in Pobbathiri Township Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Adiccavamsa and Presiding Parton of Pali Tekkatho Mingala Zeyon Monastery Agga Maha Pandita Agga Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Bhaddanta Vimala Buddhi and members of the Sangha.

Also present at the ceremony were Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo and wife, council members and wives, Union-level dignitaries, Union ministers and wives, the chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council and wife, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and wives, the commander of Nay Pyi Taw Council Command, well-wishers, guests, religious associations and locals.

The ceremony was opened with three-time recitation of Namo Tassa. The Senior General, wife and congregation took the Nine Precepts from Pali Sayadaw. Disciples offered Paritta flowers, water, thread and sand to members of the Sangha who recited Parittas. Those disciples scattered Paritta flowers, water, thread and sand on the platform of the pagoda.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla offered the bejewelled diamond orb, the pennant-shaped vane and religious objects dedicating to the Lord Buddha and alms to Wegyi Sayadaw. Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, council members and Unionministers also presented alms to members of the Sangha. Pali Sayadaw delivered a sermon and shared merits gained. The Senior General, wife and party conveyed the bejewelled diamond orb and the pennant-shaped vane by the decorated float and rounded the pagoda three times clock wise and led to the site in front of the Maha Mingala pavilion. Under the auspices of the Pali Sayadaw, the Senior General opened the upper reliquary and offered oil light. Then, he kept religious objects into the reliquary and sprayed it.

The wife of the Senior General, dignitaries and attendees conveyed the bejewelled diamond orb and the pennant-shaped vane onto the pagoda by deco rated float. The Senior General and party fixed the diamond orb and the pennant-shaped vane atop the pagoda and sprinkled scented on them.

Officials hoisted golden umbrellas on the encircled Cetis under the plan. The Senior General and wife performed the rituals of golden and silver showers in commemoration of successful completion of the ceremony.

The Senior General and wife offered flowers, water, oil lights and golden lotus flowers to the Buddha image at the southern part of the pagoda.

Members of the Sangha consecrated the pagoda. The Senior General and wife did thriving of Maha Bawdi banyan tree and sprayed it. They also sprinkled scented water on Mingala Mawgun stone inscription and rang the bell. After the ceremony, the Senior General, wife and congregation offered day meals to members of the Sangha.
