Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of State Security and Peace Commission of the Re-public of the Union of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is currently on a working visit to Chengdu, Sichuan Province, held discussions with Party Secretary of Sichuan Province Mr. Wang Xiaohui at the Jin Jiang Hotel at 6 pm local time today.
Also present together with the Senior General were Com-mission Secretary Joint Executive Chief General Ye Win Oo, members of the commission, union ministers and the Myanmar ambassador to the People’s Republic of China and the party secretary of Sichuan Province was accompanied by members of the provincial government, Ambassador of PRC to Myanmar H.E. Ms. Ma Jia and officials.
They frankly exchanged views on development of bilateral relations and cooperation, promotion of trade between Sichuan Province and Myanmar, deployment of relief teams from Sichuan Province during the Mandalay Earthquake and technical cooperation in agriculture, livestock breeding and industrial sectors between Sichuan Province and Myanmar.
After the meeting, the party secretary of Sichuan Province hosted an honorary dinner in honour of the Myanmar high-level delegation led by the Senior General.
