Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Religions for Peace-Myanmar

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Chairman of Religions for Peace-Myanmar U Myint Swe and members of Religions for Peace-International at the Parlour of Bayintnaung Villa here this afternoon.

Present at the meeting together with the Senior General were Lt-Gen Moe Myint Tun and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). Chairman of Religions for Peace-Myanmar U Myint Swe was accompanied by Bishop of Oslo, Norway Mr. Gunnar Johan Stalsett and Mahayana monk of Japan Mr. Kyoichi Sugino, members of Religions for Peace-International, and other members.

At the meeting, discussions were centred on the brief history of the emergence of Religions for Peace-International and Religions for Peace-Myanmar, peace process of the global countries, the holding of roundtable talks and endeavours of Religions for Peace-Myanmar for national reconciliation and peace.

After the meeting the Senior General presented gifts to the chairman of Religions for Peace-Myanmar and members and posed for documentary photo together with the attendees.
